This policy explains what personal information Mesa Kitchen LLC ("Mesa Kitchen", "we", "us") collects when you visit www.mesa-template.store, book a table, order food or write to us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
01Who we are
Mesa Kitchen is a restaurant run by Mesa Kitchen LLC, located at 24 Olive Street, Beirut, Lebanon. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at any time at hello@mesakitchen.example or +961 1 234 567.
02What we collect
We only ask for what we need to look after you:
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored encrypted, never in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Bookings: the date, time and size of your party, the occasion and any note you add, such as allergies or a high chair.
- Orders: the dishes you order, your delivery address and directions, your phone number, the payment method you chose and the order history.
- Messages: what you send us through the contact form, including your name, email and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type and basic usage data, used to keep the website secure and working.
We do not collect payment card numbers. Card payments are handled directly by our payment provider (see below).
03How we use it
- To manage your account and keep it secure.
- To take, confirm, change and remind you about your bookings.
- To prepare, deliver and support your orders, including refunds.
- To answer your messages and questions.
- To send you our newsletter, only if you subscribed. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
- To protect our website and our guests against fraud and abuse, for example by limiting repeated requests.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We never sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
04Why we are allowed to use it
We use your information because we need it to give you what you asked for (a table, an order, an answer), because you agreed (the newsletter), because we have a legitimate interest in running a safe and well-organised restaurant, or because the law requires it (for example, keeping invoices).
05Who we share it with
We share information only with the trusted services that help us run Mesa Kitchen, and only what they need:
- Payments: card payments are processed by Stripe, which receives your card details directly. We only see the card brand, the last four digits and whether the payment succeeded.
- Email: our email provider sends booking confirmations, order receipts and replies on our behalf.
- Hosting: our website and database are hosted by cloud providers that store data securely on our behalf.
- Sign-in with Google: if you choose it, Google confirms who you are to us.
- Maps: the map on our website is provided by Google Maps, which may collect data according to its own policy.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our guests and staff.
06Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use as few as we can, in three groups:
- Necessary (always on): keep you signed in, remember your cart and your cookie choice, and protect the site against abuse. The website can't work without them, so they don't need your permission.
- Marketing (only if you accept): tools such as the Meta Pixel measure how our ads perform on social media.
We ask for your choice the first time you visit and remember it for 6 months. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. When you turn a group off, we remove the cookies it left behind. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings.
07How long we keep it
- Account details: for as long as your account is open. You can close it at any time from your account settings.
- Bookings and orders: up to 5 years, for accounting and to help with any question about a past visit or order.
- Messages: up to 2 years after our last reply.
- Security logs: a few weeks.
08How we protect it
Passwords are stored encrypted, the website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, sign-in sessions expire, and only the team members who need information can see it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and act quickly if something goes wrong.
09Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- see the personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, unless we must keep it by law;
- stop using it for the newsletter or any purpose you agreed to;
- receive a copy of it in a common format.
Most of this you can do yourself from your account. For anything else, write to hello@mesakitchen.example. We will answer within 30 days.
10Children
Our website is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If the changes are important, we will let you know on the website or by email.
